Product description

HP Elite Mini 800 G9 PC
The HP Elite Mini 800 G9 provides users with the commercial-grade performance, security, and the flexible deployment capabilities needed for small, varied workspaces. This reliable, ultra-small PC is powered to handle mainstream enterprise and SMBs with an 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900 24-Core processor and protected with always-on security you can trust.

Power up your productivity, gaming, and content creation with the Intel Core i9-14900 24-Core LGA 1700 Processor. Built with the Intel 7 process, this 14th generation desktop processor delivers improved power efficiency while fitting the LGA 1700 socket. Intel Hyper-Threading technology is available and effectly doubles the core-count of the P-Cores, to a total of 32 threads. Core i9-14900 has 36 MB of L3 cache and operates at 2000 MHz by default, but can boost up to 5.8 GHz, depending on the workload. Intel is building the Core i9-14900 on a 10 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Core i9-14900, which limits its overclocking capabilities.

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 chipset delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you’ll be able to output video using the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a outputs. Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6, or use the Gigabit Ethernet jack for a more stable and reliable wired connection.

Powerful machine in a tiny package.
I love this machine. I’ve had several mini PC and this one is price higher, but it’s definitely a good quality machine. I also comes with an amazing warranty. When I got this one the wifi card was not working. Turned out to be a bad mother board. HP sent a tech to my house to replace the mother board at no cost and with minimal disruption. I added an expansion module in the back to give me a 4th video port.

It’s screaming FAST, but ultra quiet
This thing is amazing. Everything is instant / faster. I save so much time from waiting for things to load on my Lenovo M90q. I needed this for Power BI and it has no trouble at all.Very well made. Very small form factor.Keyboard and mouse could be a lot better. I like dell stock peripherals better.

My Worst Mistake
Sorry to say based on my past experiences with HP products.. this is the biggest mistake I’ve made to date regarding technology purchases.I have literally spent more money on Computer repairs or computer consultations than I did on the original purchase.Horrible product.

Immense power in a mini-format
This is currently the strongest Mini-PC available, beefed-up after market with the i9 24-core processor and 64 GB RAM. The price is very good. The package arrived on the next day in a perfect shape, all original HP. The machine has a very solid build and is heavy for its small size. I immediately installed Linux and ran a 16-core scientific computation after benchmarking which gave very good results. The computation is running already for about two days. The machine is very quiet, its fan is hardly audible. It is rather hot but goes on without problems. As the clock frequency can be reduced because of overheating, I ordered a cooling pad with fans and I expect the computation will be faster when cooled. I will check it out and report here.Everything is perfect except the seller does not answer pre-sales questions. I asked if Linux can be installed and got no answer. Maybe my question was stupid, I don’t know. I asked another seller who offered the same and also got no answer. Was it difficult to reply that Linux can be installed? This is why I give only four stars.

It works
I haven’t dabbled in computer things that require this much power but I’m happy with it. I have a decent setup with it.

Wrong size Hard Drive delivered
The only thing I disliked about this computer is the Seller sent me a machine with only 128GB that shows on the File Explorer as 118GB. I ordered the storage at 2TB. Very disappointed, because I liked the machine size. It does get a little hot and would recommend a fan is I kept it.The machine is being returned and I’m not sure if I should try again to order with this same Seller.
