HP Essential 2025 Business Laptop, 17.3″ HD+ Touchscreen, Intel Core i5-1334U Processor

HP Essential 2025 Business Laptop: A Practical Everyday Work Machine
Most people shopping for a work laptop don’t want a flashy gadget. They want something that boots fast, handles a dozen browser tabs and a video call without complaint, and doesn’t cost a month’s rent. The HP Essential line is aimed squarely at that buyer.
What You Get
Comparable HP Essential 255 G10 configurations sold in the US are built around an AMD Ryzen 5 7530U processor with 6 cores, speeds up to 4.5 GHz, and Radeon graphics. That is plenty for spreadsheets, email, Zoom or Teams, and cloud apps. [Confirm the exact CPU on your listing.] Walmart
The screen is a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) LED-backlit display, which suits long document sessions better than the low-resolution panels on many budget machines. Higher-spec versions pair it with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD, and lower-spec versions use less. Pay attention to RAM and storage, since they affect daily speed more than anything else on the spec sheet. walmartwalmart
Built for Office Work
The operating system matters here. These laptops ship with Windows 11 Pro, which adds business features such as mobile device management and Group Policy. If you run a small company or work under an IT department, that is more useful than a home edition. Walmart
Connectivity covers the basics: two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB-C port, HDMI, a headphone/mic jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and a webcam. You can plug into a projector or external monitor without hunting for adapters. The full-size keyboard also includes a number pad, which accountants and data-entry staff will appreciate. Walmart
Portability
The 15.6-inch model measures about 14.17 x 9.29 x 0.73 inches and weighs roughly 3.3 pounds. It’s light enough for a daily commute, though not as slim as premium ultrabooks. Larger 17.3-inch HP configurations are heavier, with one listing at about 4.6 pounds, so check the screen size before you buy. walmartwalmart
Who Should Buy It
- Small business owners and freelancers who need a dependable machine on a budget
- Students and remote workers handling documents, research, and video meetings
- Offices equipping a team without overspending
Who Should Skip It
Video editors, 3D designers, and serious gamers will want a dedicated graphics card. If you want a thin metal chassis and an all-day battery, look at the premium tier instead.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Capable Ryzen-class performance for everyday office tasks
- Full HD display with a roomy 15.6-inch screen
- Windows 11 Pro with business-grade management features
- Good port selection, including HDMI, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 6
- Number pad for spreadsheet-heavy work
- Large RAM and SSD options on higher-spec models
- Reasonable weight for daily carrying
Cons
- Integrated graphics only, so it’s not for heavy creative work or gaming
- Mostly plastic build, less premium than an EliteBook or MacBook
- Battery life is modest compared with newer ultrabooks [verify the rated figure]
- Reseller reviews are mixed (one comparable listing sits at 3.7 stars from 16 ratings), so check the return policy at Walmart
- DDR4 memory is older than the DDR5 in newer laptops
Final Verdict
The HP Essential 2025 Business Laptop does the job without fuss. If your day is mostly documents, calls, and browser tabs, it delivers solid value. If you need premium materials or heavy graphics power, spend more on a higher tier.

Great computer buy!
I have never ordered a computer on Amazon before. Quite frankly I was a little worried about it. We have had this computer for a while now and we really love it. Set up was easy, it is sturdy and has really worked well in our home. We have have an absolutely no problem with it or any concerns that we will have a problem. We like that it is metal so it can be a little weightier than a plastic one but the way it doesn’t bother us. The screen is big and and has a settings for brightness as needed. It has the required inputs that we wanted.

Good product and great customer service
Works 100% as advertised. Quick delivery. Review after 7 months and I have nothing to report, it is a solid laptop and performs very well. I stand by 5 stars.

Great computer value with SPEED!
Excellent durability and superb value for the money as well as long battery life. I have had it a total of 9 days and have only gone through 2 batteries. Setup is easy if you carefully throw it at a wall! The storage capacity sets it apart from most other computers. It had a big box and I got a lot in that prior to throwing out. Recommend this computer extremely highly and very seldom awake!

Love the backlit keyboard and the 1TB SSD
I never intended to buy an HP laptop, but this one had all the features I needed at a good price. I love the backlit keyboard and the 1 TB SSD. It is fast enough to get me through some serious compute time stuff. The one feature I did not like was that the backlit keyboard turns off after inactivity, when I wanted it to stay on. I was able to change this setting in the BIOS (I asked Copilot to tell me how to do this). Now the backlit keyboard goes on until I tell it to turn off – perfect! Also the fingerprint reader works very well. I used to have an SD card slot in my old laptop, and I still needed to access an SD card, so I bought a USB/SD Card dongle – which works fine. Overall, I am very happy with this laptop.

Works great!
love this laptop. Haven’t had a single issue in the time I’ve had it and I use it daily. Nice battery life, but like all laptops keep your charger close.

Battery life is very short
Overall, it’s a great laptop and I’m happy with the purchase and value for money. The only minor critique is that a fully charged battery will give you 3 hours max, even when you adjust the battery life settings.
