Dell 16″ Touchscreen Laptop (Core i7 150U, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, AI Copilot+)
Dell 16 Touchscreen Laptop Review: Is It Worth Buying in 2026?
If you’re shopping for a large-screen laptop that blends everyday productivity with the convenience of touch input, the Dell 16 Touchscreen Laptop is one of the most widely available options on the US market right now. Sold through Dell.com and major retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Costco, this 16-inch machine targets students, remote workers, and home users who want a spacious display without stepping up to a premium XPS or business-class price tag.
Key Specifications

- Memory: 16GB DDR5 RAM standard, configurable up to 64GB on higher trims
- Storage: 512GB to 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD depending on configuration
- Graphics: Integrated Intel UHD Graphics (or AMD Radeon Graphics on Ryzen models)

What It’s Best For
This laptop is built around everyday computing rather than heavy creative or gaming work. The bigger 16:10 touchscreen gives extra vertical space, which is genuinely useful for spreadsheets, long documents, and multitasking with split-screen apps. It’s a solid fit for:
- Students handling coursework, note-taking, and video calls
- Home and small-business users managing documents, email, and browsing
- Anyone who prefers touchscreen navigation alongside a traditional keyboard
It’s not designed for gaming or GPU-intensive creative work—the integrated graphics handle office tasks and light media well but will struggle with demanding applications.
Pros
- Large, bright 16″ FHD+ touchscreen with a tall 16:10 aspect ratio—more usable space than a standard 16:9 screen
- Strong everyday performance from the 10-core Intel Core 7-150U processor
- Configurable RAM and storage, scaling up to 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD for users who need more headroom
- Fast, reliable connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and a full port selection (USB-C, USB-A, HDMI)
- Business-friendly extras on higher trims—backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, Windows 11 Pro
- Competitive pricing relative to similarly specced 16-inch touchscreen laptops from other brands
Cons
- Modest battery life—the 41 Whr battery is on the smaller side for a 16-inch laptop, so all-day use without charging isn’t guaranteed
- Integrated graphics only—not suitable for gaming or GPU-heavy creative software
- Some reported reliability quirks—a minority of user reviews mention noisy fans, occasional Wi-Fi/touchpad glitches, or hardware failures
- Plastic build materials—the chassis and bezel are plastic rather than metal, which feels less premium at higher price points
- Entry configurations can feel underpowered—base 8GB RAM/512GB SSD models may not satisfy heavier multitaskers
Bottom Line
The Dell 16 Touchscreen Laptop is a practical, well-rounded choice for everyday productivity, especially if a large touch display and configurability matter to you. It won’t compete with gaming or workstation-class laptops, but for students and general home/office use, it offers strong value—particularly when picked up during a sale, since list prices on this line can vary significantly across retailers.

Defective laptop
Two weeks after purchase, this laptop stops working completely. Six days after the return window closed. The unit went to a blue screen. The installation of windows 11 was gone. I tried to reinstall windows, but the files did not exist on the machine. My computer tech tried to load windows from a flash drive but couldn’t do it. He noticed several programs loaded on the machine that shouldn’t have been there, so he concluded that this machine had been used previously. I bought a new machine and paid a reasonable price for a new machine. What I got was a used machine that crashed 38 days later and could not be restored. I notice this machine is now being sold at a huge discount.I spent many hours wrestling with this machine and was forced to buy the same machine from Dell.com

Great speed
I love the speed of this laptop. It replaced and old Dell with an I-5 processor that could not be upgraded to Windows 11. I am very happy with this purchase.
